Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

Journal Research Education Mamminasta maintains the highest standards of peer review while ensuring efficiency. All manuscripts submitted to this journal undergo a rigorous review process based on the following stages:

  1. Initial Editorial Review (Desk Review) Upon submission, the Editor-in-Chief or Technical Editor performs an initial screening. The manuscript is evaluated for:
    • Scope Fit: Does the topic align with the journal's Focus and Scope?
    • Plagiarism Check: All manuscripts are screened for similarity using tools such as Turnitin or iThenticate (maximum similarity threshold: [e.g., 20%]).
    • Formatting: Adherence to the journal’s template and author guidelines.
    • Quality: Basic academic rigor and language clarity.
    • Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria will be rejected immediately without further review.
  1. Double-Blind Peer Review : If the manuscript passes the initial screening, it is assigned to at least two (2) independent reviewers who are experts in the specific field of education addressed in the paper.
    • Double-Blind Policy: The process is "double-blind," meaning the reviewers do not know the identity of the authors, and the authors do not know the identity of the reviewers.
    • Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodological rigor, clarity of results, and contribution to educational research.
  1. Review Outcomes : Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor will make one of the following decisions: a) Accept Submission: The manuscript is accepted as-is (rare for initial submissions). b) Revisions Required: The author must address specific concerns before the paper can be accepted. c) Resubmit for Review: The paper requires major changes and will undergo a second round of full peer review. d) Decline Submission: The manuscript is not suitable for publication in this journal.
  1. Final Decision : The Editor-in-Chief holds the final authority regarding the acceptance or rejection of any manuscript. The average time for the first decision is typically [e.g., 4–8 weeks] from the date of submission.
  1. Ethical Standards : Reviewers are required to disclose any conflicts of interest. They must treat manuscripts as confidential documents. Professionalism and constructive feedback are expected to help authors improve their work.
